Seems like everywhere I turn lately there is a debate, fight or explanation (even unclear at times) about what is beautiful and what is not. So clearly it stirred up my thought juices and called on me to reflect and try to come up with what may seem like a reasonable opinion.

Growing up, girls considered beautiful were the ones with a striking face, nice legs and big behind....that was way back.
However as I grew, different dimensions were thrown into the equation along the way. For instance today if you are not tall enough you might be considered "not beautiful”. I personally think that is crap because many men say they want be seen with beautiful women and most times they do, only to discover the next day that it was all courtesy of makeup and off they go in disappointment.
Other men want beauty pageant queens only to realise that his personal "Queen Sheba” is an airhead or has no personality whatsoever, so they end up marrying the not-so-attractive girl but worthy in so many other ways, much to the amazement of family and onlookers alike.
Personally I interact with so many women and yes I have been judgmental a time or two, only to be put to shame when I get to see their inner beauty which most times is way cooler than the surface.
I guess beauty is a concoction of intellect, personality, class, poise, humour, resilience, love for people and patience, which in the end are more valuable than a pretty face and hot body.
After all is it not common knowledge that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure? Who are we to decide who is beautiful and who isn’t? Beauty is truly in the eyes of the one who has found it and adores its genuine feel despite what everyone else says.
