Simon finally understood George Orwell’s famous Animal Farm adage, "All animals are equal but some are more equal than others.” He was travelling to Europe with an airline company he’d rather not mention when one of the passengers in the economy class got on board with a cat. He was surprised at first since he always believed that pets travelled in the cargo area. Besides being afraid of animals, especially cats, when Simon saw the bag that the cat was in, he was scared to death and worried that if anything went wrong, the cat would easily tear the bag using its claws.  He always thought cats where some of the pets not allowed in the economy class area given the fact that their area is not spacious enough and that there could be people who are allergic to them.The cat’s meowing during takeoff and landing was quite annoying. To Simon, the meowing was so disturbing; one would think it was a baby crying. Besides making uncomfortable noises throughout the journey, the loudest sound was made during landing. As if that was not enough, the cat was being given a lot of attention by the air hostesses. Before takeoff, a gentleman seated near Simon had requested for pain killers but they had literally forgotten about him because they were too busy taking care of the cat. He was given the pain killers after takeoff when the seatbelt signs were switched off yet he had requested for them 30 minutes before.The weirdest thing was how the cabin crew apologised to the man who had requested for the pain killers claiming that they were still taking care of the cat and had forgotten his request. Simon was left puzzled, asking himself whether the cat was more important than the man. Simon insists that there is nothing as bad as being nonessential yet you actually paid a lot of money for good service and get a raw deal instead!
