Gorilla FC midfielder Victor Murdah is convinced that his team have what it takes to achieve a top-five finish ahead of the coming 2023/24 season.
Gorilla has been preparing for the new season for the past five weeks and the Cameroonian said that he and his teammates are in good shape for the new season which starts on August 18.
"We are keen to confirm what is being said about this magnificent group. So we're going to aim for a place in the big 5 and even go a step ahead and fight for the title," Murdah told Weekend Sport.

"During these five weeks, we have been working so hard to get ready for the league. As you know, for us players, it’s a hard time. We are done loading the body. I can say Gorilla is ready to start the Rwanda Premier League."

Gorilla recorded one of the shocking results in the 2022/23 Rwanda Premier League when they beat Rayon Sports 3-1 at the Kigali Pele Stadium in a match that ended the Blues’ title hopes.
Throughout the season, they remain unpredictable as they deliver when you least expect them. Murdah said that they achieved their set target for the 2022/23 campaignand same must apply for the coming league campaign.
"If we take a look back at last season, we achieved our goal, which was to maintain our honorable ninth place," he noted.
Gorilla will travel to the Umuganda Stadium for the opening match against Rubavu on August 20.
