With the Turbo Football League returning on Saturday, September 28, champions Rayon Sport appear to have finally secured the services of Amavubi and former Police forward Meddie Kagere.Kagere, who has over the last few days denied links with the Blues, has confirmed he will be signing a two-year deal with the Nyanza-based side this week.He told Times Sport yesterday, "I might sign for Rayon Sports on Monday or Tuesday. I am only yet to agree on a few things with them.”It is reported that Rayon Sports, who will compete in the next year’s CAF Champions League, have agreed to pay a fee in the region of Rwf9 million for the former Police FC marksman.Kagere joins Rayon after his anticipated move to Lebanese premier league side Safa Sporting Club hit a snag. The 27-year striker claims to have passed trials early last month but the club has not contacted him and didn’t include him on the list of its players for next season. The Rwandan international talisman spent three seasons at Police FC, scoring 38 league goals. He was Amavubi’s top scorer in the team’s disappointing 2014 Fifa World Cup Brazil qualifiers with three goals in six matches.
