The former champions take on rivals KBC on Sunday at Amahoro Indoor Stadium, starting at 12pm seeking to win and close the gap on the leaders and defending champions Espoir, who are not in action this weekend.
With five games left in the regular season, Owuor’s side are fourth in the seven-team league table standing with 12 points two points behind Espoir.
The former Kenyan international said recently, "Our target is to finish in the top two in league and I think we are on track because this team is getting better day by day.”
On Saturday, Rusizi got back to winning ways after losing their two games last weekend by beating the bottom side 30-Plus 80-59.
In the women’s league, defending champions APR beat Ubumwe 56 – 38 at the National Paralympics gymnasium at Amahoro stadium, while on Sunday, Ubumwe will come up against Rwanda Allied Peace for Progress (RAPP).
