Scouts have revealed that the preparations for one of the ‘80s most popular bands are in high gear in the capital. We hear the Ministry of Sports and Culture (MISPOC) invited the band to Rwanda and the ministry is rumoured to start a massive public awareness campaign for the concert. So look out for billboards and newspaper adverts.
Sinful child causes chaos in church
Recently a junior pastor was seen chasing after a kid who had taken the money from the box of the tenth offerings. It all started during thanksgiving a young boy who seemed to be a street kid (Mayibobo) marched off with money collected from the congregation. Instead of contributing, the boy swiped an envelope.
The pastor who was standing in the pulpit immediately jumped down and ran after the boy, who had already disappeared.
But I guess one will be forgiven for thinking that God had sent the boy there to find his bread, since God is our father and cannot be annoyed if His children are fed.
Red Sun to light up Fespad
I’m sure this is good news for many out there. Rwanda is once again to host Kenya’s renowned musician Red Sun.
It’s rumoured around town that the singer has been invited as part of an impressive group of professional musicians, including Uganda’s Chameleon.
Singer/songwriter Red Sun is scheduled to perform in Kigali next week during the Pan-African Dance Festival (Fespad).
According to those in the know, entertainers will also include like Natty Dread, Rafiki, a.k.a Choga Style, Miss JoJo.
