Hoteliers have been urged to improve customer services, especially ensuring clients have access to fast Internet broadband to be competitive.Philbert Nsengimana, the Minister of youth and ICT, said customers, especially tourists, need to communicate with friends or business partners, making access to the Internet an essential component of hotel services. "Therefore, hoteliers and other stakeholders should work together in order to improve the quality of services offered,” he said.The minister was speaking during a meeting with members of the Rwanda Hotels, Restaurants and Bars Association in Kigali.Nsengimana advised the hoteliers to lobby Internet service providers so as to get competitive Internet connection rates. He pointed out that access to fast broadband for hotel guests should be part of the criteria of a good hotel, pointing out that the whole country is covered by Internet broadband, which hoteliers should exploit.Denis Karera,  the Rwanda Hotels, Restaurants and Bars Association chairman, urged members to work together to ensure the sustainable  growth of the hospitality industry through global marketing  initiatives and enhanced  standards,  as well as  professional  services.Karera called on stakeholders to ensure that visitors to Rwanda receive quality service at fair rates.
