Polls: Rwandans decide next legislators
About six million Rwandans yesterday took to the polling centres to elect the 53 directly-elected members of parliament. The voters elected lawmakers drawn from political parties including a coalition led by the Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF-Inkotanyi), Social Democratic Party, Liberal Party, and PS Imberankuri. Four independent candidates were also in the race.

About six million Rwandans yesterday took to the polling centres to elect the 53 directly-elected members of parliament. The voters elected lawmakers drawn from political parties including a coalition led by the Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF-Inkotanyi), Social Democratic Party, Liberal Party, and PS Imberankuri. Four independent candidates were also in the race. Elections will continue today for women representatives while representatives of youth and people with disabilities will be held tomorrow.
