The national junior basketball team has regrouped for its final preparation stint ahead of this year’s Africa Zone V U-18 youth basketball championship qualifiers slated for next month in Kampala, Uganda.

The national junior basketball team has regrouped for its final preparation stint ahead of this year’s Africa Zone V U-18 youth basketball championship qualifiers slated for next month in Kampala, Uganda.

The tournament, which runs from August 10-16, will see Rwanda contending with Burundi, Kenya, DR Congo, Seychelles, Djibouti and Egypt among others.

At the end of the tournament, the top team in the round robin show will qualify for the finals due in Cairo, Egypt, in September.

The 16-man team which is being handled by national team coach Vaceslave Kavedzija will now under-go daily training sessions at Amahoro stadium indoor courts during this schools’ holiday.
