After a long break from the music scene, Rwanda’s gospel artiste and music producer Sam Muvunyi is back with a new track dubbed, Humura Munyarwanda, an Afrobeat tune with a fusion of traditional Rwandan music.

Muvunyi’s Humura Munyarwanda is a comforting gospel song, calling for peace and healing from the Genocide trauma.

"I was inspired by our history while doing this song and wanted to tell Rwandans that despite our past experience the Lord is with us and that they should always seek refuge in Him,” Muvunyi said of his new song.

The Turapfa Iki hit maker said that he is working on the video of his new song with producer Ivan Gatari and it is expected to be out in two weeks’ time.

The singer had taken a break from the music scene to pursue his studies at Kigali Institute of Education, (KIE), where he graduated with a degree in Arts and Languages in Education last year.
