A delegation from the Rwanda ICT Chamber has left for a four-day trip to Congo-Brazzaville to study the country’s ICT market and business opportunities.The trip, organised in partnership with the government of the Congo Chamber of Commerce, will see 22 Rwandan ICT companies present their products to over 50 firms in Brazzaville with the aim of forming partnerships that could see Rwanda export ICT products to the country."The two governments have signed bilateral agreements, so we are building on that to establish partnerships and create business opportunities for both countries. We will hold a workshop and networking cocktail and, thereafter, business-to-business meetings between different firms,” Geoffrey Kayonga, the acting ICT Chamber chairman at the Private Sector Federation, explained.Kayonga said after the Brazzaville trip, the chamber members would go to Angola on a similar mission."We believe that such business partnerships with African countries are necessary for our industrial growth and the development of the continent,” Alex Ntale, a director at Rwanda ICT Chamber and a member of the delegation, noted.Stuart Mugabe, the Twenty Third Century Systems chief executive officer, was optimistic the trip would be useful in determining the potential of the country as an investment destination. "Among the factors we will be looking out for during the market survey will be partners and projects that we can implement in Brazzaville.” "The ICT Chamber has been searching for business opportunities in the region that our members can harness,” said Jovani Ntabgoba, the in charge of communication at Rwanda ICT Chamber.  The ICT Chamber brings together ICT associations, business, groups and individuals.
