The Rwanda National Police has announced changes among top officers with spokesperson Theos Badege taking over the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
The Rwanda National Police has announced changes among top officers with spokesperson Theos Badege taking over the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).He replaces Commissioner of Police Christophe Bizimungu, who goes to the National Police College in Musanze District.In other changes, Damas Gatare bounced back as the head of public relations and community policing, replacing Badege. Gatare previously served as Police spokesperson around 2005. In a statement, Police said Commissioner George Rumanzi becomes the commandant of the Traffic and Road Safety department, replacing Felly Bahizi. Emmanuel Butera bounced back as Commissioner for Operations and Public Order. "These changes are aimed at better performance of the force as well as rotation of duties which is a normal practice,” Police said in the statement.
