Response to religion, prostitutes reject malaria spray

Being one of your good readers, I am really shocked by what appeared in The New Times of Thursday 13; saying that Jehovah’s Witnesses refused the National Programme against malaria. This is completely false.

I myself am a Jehovah’s Witness and I always go to hospital and get drugs.  I live at Kicukiro and at home where all my family lives (Dad, Mom, young sisters and brothers all baptised Jehovah’s Witnesses); we always spray insecticide in rooms to protect ourselves against malaria.

So I can’t understand how we can refuse to see our houses sprayed in the ongoing anti-malaria campaign while we always spray insecticide ourselves in our rooms where we live.

This is very bad propaganda against Jehovah’s Witnesses and it doesn’t give a real picture of who we are. I hope I will get an apology from you.

I would like to invite you to do a real survey and get the truth about this issue.
Otherwise this news is only tarnishing Jehovah’s Witnesses.
