Mbarushimana targets top five in PFNL

Southern Province-based Amagaju Football club head coach Abdul Mbarushimana is targeting to finish in the top five in next season’s national league, which starts on September 21.

Mbarushimana has so far signed seven players, ahead of the new season and he wants his side to compete on high level in the local league.

"We need to be among the best four or five in league. We have signed good players, who have good experience in the local league, who I believe can compete on a high level and enable the team achieve its targets,” the former Rayon Sports coach said.

He added, "I am confident that my team can finish among the top four or five. We are having good preparations although there is still a lot of work to do between now and the start of the season.”

The team has already signed midfielder Bokaleta Fowe, striker Pignol Moikima, left back Yahaya Hakizimana from Etincelles and forward Didier Nkurunza from Rayon Sports.

Others are: right back Ali Serumogo and striker Jean d’Amour Bunani from second division side Sunrise FC as well as right back Hamza Shyaka from second division Gasabo FC, all on two-year deals.
