Dear editor,
I read in your paper about the new directive for Coaster Bus operators to transport only one person per seat as planned at the time of manufacture.

It’s not only great for passengers’ comfort but also for safety. I believe a Coaster which is supposed to transport 24 passengers has higher chances of mechanical break downs when it is carrying 35. This would affect 11 more people.

Dear editor, much as I received the news with joy, I was shocked to find Coasters especially those plying the Kimironko route still squeezing in that extra person per row.

Could it be that this new directive is meant for some and not others? Secondly, why only Coasters?

They at least have more ‘space’ than the mini vans, commonly called "Twegerane”!

I would like to request through your paper, that the directive covers all transporters.

Let me also take this opportunity to ask why the middle person in the front seat of a commuter taxi does not wear a seat belt.

Could it be scientifically proven that in the event of an accident, this person would not necessarily need a safety seat belt? I suggest that this seat gets a safety seat belt too in consideration of everyone.
