Primus national league champions Rayon Sports have released five players ahead of the forthcoming season after being deemed surplus to requirements for the Nyaza-based club.

The five include; Donatien Tuyizere alias Jojori, Jean Bosco Harolimana, Alfonse Nizeyimana, Salom Gasangwa and Yusuf Munyakayanza.

Rwandan international left full back Tuyizere is reported to have joined last season runners-up Police FC on a two-year deal.

"We have decided to release the five players not because they are not good but because they don’t fit in the coach’s plans for next season,” Rayon Sports secretary general, Olivier Gakwaya told Sunday Sport.

He noted, "Keeping them at the club would not be fair as they were not having enough time to play, so by allowing them to leave, gives them the chance to find teams where they would be able to play regularly.”

On September 1, Rayon Sports will face Peace Cup winners AS Kigali in the inaugural Super Cup at Amahoro stadium and the winner will pocket Rwf5million.
