Rayon Sports central defender Faustin Nsengimana has been left out of Richard Tardy’s final 20-man squad for the Francophone Games scheduled for September 6-17 in Nice, France.

The 19-year old was left out of the U-20 national team that is expected to depart for Nice on Tuesday following request by the senior Amavubi Stars head coach Eric Nshimiyimana, who want the centre back to be part of his team for next month’s 2014 Fifa World Cup Brazil qualifier against Benin.

Under-20 French coach Tardy, flanked by his assistant Aloys Kanamugire, revealed the final in a press conference held at Ferwafa headquarters on Friday.

"Our target is to go as far as we possibly can in the tournament and I have no doubt that the team, we have named is good enough to achieve the mission. It won’t an easy as we are drawn in a tough Pool alongside Congo Brazzaville, Canada and hosts France but we shall do our best,” said the Frenchman.

The final squad includes 12 players from APR FC, two from youthful side Isonga FC, two from AS Kigali, one each from Mukura and Rayon Sports respectively as well as plus two European-based players, namely Bon Fils Kabanda (France) and Jean Marie Rusingizandekwe (Belgium).

In the last warm-up match before leaving for the Games, the Under-20 team beat Primus national league side Police FC 3-0 at Ferwafa ground on Friday.
