Editor,I’m a "mama’s boy” and I’m proud! I wouldn’t date/marry a girl who wants me to part ways with my mother. She brought me into this world for God’s sake and she raised me. Why should I put her second to someone I only knew five or less years of my life?No she doesn’t control my life, no she doesn’t make decisions for me, no I won’t need her approval to marry you, no she’s not coming to our honeymoon and no she won’t tell me how to run our home, BUT if she needs anything, be sure that her needs will come first, yours second - because she is my mother and you’re just a girl that I met and loved.I’d rather be a slave for my mother than for that other "woman”.Martin, Kigali, RwandaReaction to the story, "Send the ‘Mama’s boy’ packing!”, (Society Magazine, August 9)
