Senior volleyball national team skipper Christophe Mukunzi will lead the Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Education of Kibungo (Inatek) in the weekend’s NSSF- KAVC international volleyball tournament in Kampala, Uganda.
According to Inatek coach Dominic Sesonga Ntawanga, the team will leave Kigali on Friday for the two-day event due on August 10-11.
However, Sesonga’s side will travel without his experienced blocker Fravier Ndamukunda, who will be replaced by Olivier Ntagengwa.
"We will travel without Ndamukunda but we are confident the players we have will do a good job,” the coach told this paper on Wednesday.
The team left its training base in Ngoma on Tuesday to continue intensive training in Kigali before making the trip to the Ugandan capital.
Kigali Volleyball club (men) will also take part in the annual tournament while Rwanda Revenue Authority will feature in the women’s category. APR and National University of Rwanda (women) withdrew from the event.
