TOP Rwandan golfers begin their quest for KCB Kenya Golf Open championship glory today at the Leisure golf club in Mombasa.The golfers include Jean Baptiste Hakizimana, who has just returned from South Africa where he has been holding his training, and Emmanuel Ruterana.They will be out to test their skills against a host of top contenders for this year’s honour.The 30-year old Ruterana is marking his fourth consecutive appearance in the international golf tournament since 2010. He finished number 14 in his maiden debut in 2010, nineth in 2011 and fourth last year.Speaking to Times Sport yesterday from Mombasa, Ruterana said, "I am fully prepared for the championship. My colleague Hakizimana is also in good form and we are well-placed to impress in the tournament,”Meanwhile, Hakizimana will be using the KCB Open to prepare for the Asian Golf Tour set for September to November.This year’s KCB Open tees off today at the par 72 Leisure Lodge with over 30 participants from Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania.  KCB organised six events for the season and the one in Mombasa will be the last. Kenya’s Dismas Indiza has already won three of the five events and his latest came in Eldoret two weeks ago.So far only one Ugandan golfer, Deo Akope has confirmed to travel to Mombasa for the tournament.
