Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) has invited Rwanda international referee Lieutenant Vedaste Ntanteteli to be among the referees, to officiate at the Men’s FIVB Vizag Open championships due September 2013 in India.Starting this season, the FIVB World Tour calendar comprises the 10 FIVB World Tour Grand Slams and the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships, for the first time since 2002, the competition will not run under the Swatch, who have been the main sponsor."I think this is good for Rwandan referees, it’s a sign of trust from FIVB and I hope it will bring more confidence. This invitation shows that FIVB believes Rwandans can handle international competitions,” said Lt. Ntanteteli.The four-day FIVB Open Beach Volleyball will attract 64 leading teams -- 32 each in men’s and women’s sections -- from across the globe battling out for top honors. The winners of the Men’s FIVB Vizag Open will walk away with US$113,400.
