Amavubi Stars technical team led by head coach Eric Nshimiyimana are doing a good job, the national football federation president has said.According to Celestin Ntagungira alias Abega, Nshimiyimana and his assistant Jean Baptist Kayiranga and goalkeeping coach Ibrahim Mugisha are doing a good job and deserve the chance to make the team even better."We have to give them time to do their work without much pressure or fear of being sacked, and also we need to first build our league competiveness to a higher level and then demand for better performance from the players."We have good players and a good team of coaches, who are doing well,” the Ferwafa boss told Times Sport following Rwanda’s failed bid to qualify for CHAN 2014 finals in South Africa.He noted, "They were appointed because of their vast knowledge of the country’s youth football  and we still trust them to continue to work together and we hope with time, they will make a difference.”The former Fifa international assistant referee acknowledged that the national team is not as strong as Rwandans would like, and attributed it to the low levels of standard of the local league."There is a need to first build our clubs and make them more competitive in Africa and after we will have good players, who will be able to compete against the best on the continent.” Abega noted that Amavubi team technical staff deserves more time to concentrate on developing the next generation of players that will drive the country to success in the future."We still think they are the best men for the job and they will now be helped to put more emphasis on young talented players that can take the country back to the top level in Africa,” he stated.On Saturday, Nshimiyimana’s side was knocked out on 6-5 penalty after both sides finished level 1-1 in two the games.Nshimiyimana’s next big game is when Rwanda visit Benin in September for the 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.
