This year’s Peace Cup against Malaria finalists AS Muhanga have confirmed that they have agreed transfer terms with Rwandan international Jean Bosco Gasana, who has spent the previous two seasons at Djibouti’s side AS Ports.The striker is set to sign a two-year contract, according to AS Muhanga head coach Ali Bizimungu.The former Amagaju FC player, who left for Djibouti from Kiyovu SC in 2011, played a big role during his two seasons at AS Ports helping them to clinch Djibouti football Premier League title in 2012 and representing their country in this year’s CECAFA Kagame Cup in Darfur that was won by Burundi’s Vital’O.Gasana, who was once called up to the national football team, is back in the country to play in the national football league where he can be watched closely by the Amavubi coaches as he bids to re-position himself into the reckoning again. "He is an experienced striker. He will help the team be more aggresive next season,” AS Muhanga coach Ali Bizimungu told Times Sport yesterday."This won’t be the first time I work with him, he was my main striker in Amagaju FC and no doubt he will improve our attack,” Bizimungu explained.Gasana was part of AS Ports squad that squared-up with Rayon Sports in last month’s CECAFA Kagame cup held in Darfur, Sudan where the later won 4-1 to qualify for quarter-finals before they got knocked out in semis by Vital’O, who went on to win the tournament after beating Rwanda’s APR in the final 2-0.According to Bizimungu, Gasana is set to put pen on paper on Tuesday. Last season, AS Muhanga finished eleventh in a 14-team table of the national football league with 27 points.
