LONDON. The great Radamel Falcao-age debate has taken another twist as a picture of the striker’s birth certificate has surfaced and suggests he is in fact 27.Earlier this week reports claimed the former Atletico Madrid man was 29 and his date of birth was February 10 1984, after alleged documents from his primary school years came to light. However, in attempt to back their national hero, Colombian newspaper El Tiempo released an image of Falcao’s birth certificate which shows the striker was born on February 10 1986.The emergence of his alleged birth certificate may finally prove the £53m mans innocence and allow him to settle into life at his new club.Falcao addressed the issue on Twitter on Wednesday, saying: ‘I have been surprised with stories in the media about my age. They are totally ridiculous. ‘I want to deny these claims and end this issue once and for all.’The Colombian has faced similar allegations in the past. During his time at Argentinian side River Plate, he was accused of knocking a couple of years off his age in order to be eligible for the 2005 Under 20s World Cup, during which he scored twice.
