Editor,
I was delighted to read in yesterday's edition of The New Times that Miss Rwanda, Aurore Mutesi Kayibanda, has been crowned Miss FESPAM 2013.
Congratulations to Rwanda's beauty for having emerged victorious from among 60 other beauty contestants.
The Government of Rwanda's strong focus on women empowerment, coupled with the support and encouragement given to the youth of this great nation, has enabled Aurore and many others, to emerge with flying colours on the international arena.
Please allow me to extend, through your esteemed newspaper, a very special invitation to Miss FESPAM 2013 to stop over in Mumbai (India), while she will be travelling to Indonesia, in September this year, to attend the Miss World 2013 Beauty Contest.
We would be very pleased to host Aurore during her stay in Mumbai. She would be a great ambassador for the country and would help in strengthening Indo-Rwandan cultural relations. Suitable programmes will be organised for her while she is in the city.
A few years ago, we invited Ms. Dianah Mukundwa, then an outstanding student from the School of Finance and Banking for our International Banking and Finance Conference.
And, only last year, we invited a group of Rwandan students to perform at the World Tourism Day event held at our Chamber, on September 27, 2012.
We wish Aurore Mutesi Kayibanda every success for Miss World 2013!
