AMAVUBI forward Meddie Kagere is among 50 players holding trials with PSL new comers Mpumalanga Black Aces in South Africa.The 27-year old who failed trials at BidVest Wits and Turls last season is trying his luck at Aces in the hope of finally breaking into the PSL.The club’s training ground, AmaZayoni, has been a hive of activity with up to 50 players spotted at training for most of this week.After running out of contract with Police FC in June, Rayon Sports is also hoping to snatch the striker if the South Africa deal fails to go through.The 27-year-old Amavubi international has spent three seasons at Police, scoring 38 goals in three Primus League seasons.He has since become a regular for Amavubi and a talisman for Police, spearheading their good run and often delivering.The former Atraco forward is the country’s top scorer in the on-going 2014 World Cup qualifiers with three goals in five matches played so far.Meanwhile, Six players, including the talented Ofentse Nato and Stanley Kgatla, have officially passed their medicals and signed contracts for AmaZayoni. The rest are Vincent Kobola [right back], Paulo Angelo Loureiro [left back], Eugene Mazwi Mncube [striker] and Aleni Lebyane [centre forward].
