"I’m the type of guy who is obsessed to suits and ties. I just feel better in a suit and makes me feel confident and self-styled,” says Michael Gasana, an official in the Minister of Finance.

He confesses that he loves getting dressed up for any occasion and says a nice shirt and tie that will boost his confidence up a notch. Others however are happier in more relaxed attire. A plain shirt and pants would look great for a dinner party.

Here’s the deal, says Armstrong Musonera, at Union Trade Center, you get to free relaxed by not confusing office wear to dinner. Team simple suit like a true gentleman, but you also don’t have to get all formalized for your formal dinner to the illusion of a gentleman.

The most thoughtful gesture you can make when attending a dinner party is by achieving an understated yet elegant appearance, says Collette Nzamugira, a shop assistant down town.

"Take a look at your dress. You can tell a lot about the expected tone of the evening ahead of time by the kind of dress and your body structure will guide you the perfect dress to put on,” says Nzamugira.

You don’t want to look too formal but you want to look and feel as if you’ve made an effort. And it doesn’t matter if you are more comfortable in trousers, a dress or a skirt, all worn in the right way will look great.
