LOCAL basketball coaches and those who aspire to become high-ranked professional coaches are following a week-long Fiba Africa level two coaching clinic being run by Tunisian Dr. Cherif M. Habib.The clinic which started on Monday at Amahoro stadium has attracted ten Rwandan coaches and one from Burundi.Succesful candidates will earn promotion to level two, the highest level a basketball coach can attain.The Rwanda Basketball Federation’s technical director Didier Shema Maboko said yesterday, "The seminar aims at equipping our coaches with latest updates and tactics of the game. They will also earn a higher level degree in their coaching career if they pass the final exam,”"On Day 8, they are sitting for written and oral exams while on Day 9 they will do practical exams before getting their results on the last day due on July 24,”"The clinic is very important for Rwandan basketball and coaches  in particular. We are expecting a great impact from this clinic,” added Shema.Among the participants is national head coach duo of Moise Mutokambali and assistant John Bahufite who is also the head coach of Zone V and league title holders Espoir BBC.Other participants include; Cliff Owuor from APR, Alexandre Ahishakiye, Albert Buhake, Charles Mushumba, Cyrille Kalima, Jacques Bahige, Jean Chrisostome Ngirimana, Andre Ngendabanga and Olivier Ndayiragije, lone participant from Burundi.
