NORTHERN PROVINCE

Gicumbi—A number of different Christian denominations are holding a two-day congregation at Byumba taxi park, unifying previously rivalrous faction of the umbrella relgions.

Organised by AEE-Rwanda, and in collaboration with the Gicumbi Christian Community, the congregation comprises of Pentecosts, Catholics, and Protestants among others.

The theme of the meeting is Unity and Reconcilliation in the Rwandan Community under the guidance of Jesus Christ.

Notable figures include Pastor Moses Garkida of the Born Again Christians from Nigeria and Rev. Meg Guilleband of Eglise Episcopal du Rwanda.

Garkida says "God loves Rwanda and the devil has no more power to destroy Rwanda.’

Guilleband called upon all Christians regardless of denomination to unite as children of God. "All of us worship one God, there is no reason for differences among Christians,” she said.

People turned up in large numbers to be converted to Born Again Christianity under the blessing of Pastor Garkida.
