DIANNE Bimenyimana emerged the star of the day as Queens of Victory CC (QVCC) beat White Clouds CC (WCCC) in the UAE Exchange & Xpress Money T20 inaugural game tournament over the weekend at Kicukiro cricket oval.Bimenyimana hit her highest individual score of 58 runs not out and helped her team post a defendable score of 150 runs in 15 overs. WCCC’s chase was affected after their star batter Iriho Veronique was bowled out by Ganimana Raphael after making only 27 runs. WCCC lost the game by 53 runs.In the men’s game, Challengers CC won their first game against Victory CC by 86 runs. Challengers batsmen Praveen Kumar (50), Sairam Gopalan (46) and Srinath Vardhineni (52) did the greatest havoc to Victory bowlers and helped their team make 210 runs. "This score was so huge for VCC as we only managed 124 runs,” said Kayitera Andrew who put on 47 runs.In the afternoon, Telugu Cricket Club (TCC) beat Kigali Cricket Club (CC) in a close game. TCC batted first and posted 188 runs, thanks to Manjunath Kare who contributed 47 runs.
