Former Manchester United and Atletico Madrid star Quinton Fortune arrives in Kigali this morning ahead of the three-day working visit aimed at inspiring young Rwandan footballers.The former Bafana Bafana midfielder is expected to touch down at Kigali International airport at 11.30am aboard RwandAir from Kampala, Uganda.The visit is facilitated by DHL, one of the sponsors of the recently crowned English champions Manchester United."Quinton Fortune will be visiting Rwanda courtesy of DHL to inspire young Rwandan athletes and to raise awareness of Rwandan football to the outside world. William Mwiseneza, the DHL Rwanda Customer Service Supervisor told Times Sport yesterday.”According to Mwiseneza, Fortune will officially begin his tour on Wednesday and is expected to visit Genocide survivors in Nyaruguru, before heading to Play for Hope soccer academy in Masaka in the morning.In the afternoon, he will visit the South African High Commissioner in Kacyiru and they will later proceed with a visit to Kigali Genocide Memorial site before heading back to Serena Hotel for the evening schedule where he is expected to meet journalists and other football enthusiasts.The 36-year-old hard-tackling midfielder, played for Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Bolton Wanderers among other top European clubs before he retired in 2010 after being released by English Championship (second division) side Doncaster Rovers.During his time, the South African player displayed versatility and strength of character which made him an able performer at left-back and in central midfield as well as an attacking wide man. He holds two Manchester United honours for the FA community shield (2003) and Intercontinental Cup (1999). He is currently an ambassador of Manchester United.
