Local basketball rivals Rwanda Energy Group and Patriots are set to face off today in Game 2 of the best-of-five finals.

The match gets underway at 8pm at the BK Arena.

Last Wednesday, The Patriots claimed game 1 when they beat REG 75-70, and they will be looking to build on the victory, while REG will be fighting to bounce back into the tie.

Speaking to Times Sport in an exclusive interview, Henry Mwinuka, the Head Coach of REG said they have worked on correcting some of the mistakes that cost them game one, and they are ready to go for victory this time around.

"We made mistakes in defence in game 1 but we have corrected them. We made an assessment after game one and we are now ready to act on it," he said.

If the Patriots win the second game today, it will increase their chances of being named champions, since it will be only one victory to go for them to take the title.

Meanwhile in the women's category, REG and APR will battle in game 2 of the best-of-five finals series.
