As the prestigious Mützig monthly mug heads into its fourth edition today, the big question at hand is whether last month’s winner Andrew Nkwandi can hold onto his title.
The veteran golfer won the May edition becoming the third winner of the inaugural competition after François Rugomboka and Marcel Byusa.
Although only 43 had registered for the event by press time, a close source told Times Sport that the number was expected to rise significantly.
"Many will register when they show up for practice this evening,” the source said yesterday.
It is also reported that the event whose tee-off is slated for 8 o’clock in the morning will be played on stroke play and stableford formats.
The event, which replaced the famous BCR competition, is sponsored by Bralirwa, the country’s brewers and soft drink manufacturers.
