CSK A  v  APR
NUR     v  Rusizi

APR basketball club have been reinforced by the return of its star shooting forward Issa Ngoga ahead of today’s league clash with CSK A at Amahoro indoor courts.

Ngoga, who was voted MVP at last year’s Zone V Club championships after helping APR to the crown had been sidelined for over six months after twisting his ankle and knee during club training. But his return according to Cliff Owuor, the APR coach will certainly add flair to the Indomitable Lions’ attack.

"He is an intelligent player and it is good to have him back in the side,” Owuor stated. However, Owuor also cautioned his players to keep a close eye on Gerol Ndugu.

The CSK A forward is enjoying a good spell with the club since his move from National University of Rwanda (NUR) early last year.

"He is having a good season and he is one of their (CSK A) top scorers,” Owuor noted.

After surrendering last year’s title to Marine, APR have set the league alight with five wins in a row including some really big scores against Kigali Institute of Education and Basketball United Generation.

In the other men’s tie, NUR travels to Rusizi while Ruhengeri’s St. Vincent entertains Ruvabu in the ladies’ category.

Rusizi who flourished in the debut season last year when they reached the play-offs have failed to click.
