Are you crushing on your boss?

Office crushes are very stressful, worse still when the crush is on your boss. Naturally, when you have a crush on someone, you can’t help but think about that person. However, sometimes, after the crush is gone, you look back and question the butterflies you had in your belly and why you had a crush on that person in the first place.

Office crushes are very stressful, worse still when the crush is on your boss. Naturally, when you have a crush on someone, you can’t help but think about that person. However, sometimes, after the crush is gone, you look back and question the butterflies you had in your belly and why you had a crush on that person in the first place.

When it comes to crushing on your boss, every time he is around you, it is easy for words to evaporate. When asked a question, you could stay blank because it is hard to coordinate your emotions and reality when stuck in that chaotic whirlwind.

What is even more frustrating is how to behave around him; a lot of ladies are torn between befriending him and totally avoiding him. One thing you must never do no matter how many times you catch yourself thinking about him and giggling is letting him know how you feel about him. If he feels the same about you, let him approach you and ask you out. But before you go out with him, make sure you understand what you could lose or gain.

Do not allow your thoughts to distract your work. If you have to postpone them to non working hours then so be it. Distract your imagination by staying busy at work.

Not feeling the same way about you doesn’t give you the right to be irritable with him or others. It also does not permit you to exercise your mood swings and jealous tantrums.

If he does not feel your vibe, do yourself a favour and let it stay in your head. Eventually, you’ll get over it. If your crush is too strong to bury, talk to a trusted friend (not a colleague) about it. Sometimes it helps getting things like that off your chest.
