Rwanda Men’s Volleyball team is expected to kick off preparations for the 2014 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championships qualifiers on Wednesday at Amahoro indoor stadium.The development comes a day after the local volleyball federation appointed ex-Kenyan international Paul Bitok and Rwandan Jean Marie Nsengiyumva as national team coaches to help ensure the nation qualify to the global championships.Bitok is set to name a full squad this evening after the U19 team jets back from the World Championships in Mexico.Rwanda will compete in the week-long Sub-Zone tournament slated to run from July 23-29 and it will attract hosts Rwanda, Ethiopia, Sudan.All professional players including Qatar-based trio of Vincent Dusabimana, Placide Madison Sibomana and skipper Christophe Mukunzi Giba as well as Lawrence Yakan Guma, who plays in the Algerian league, are expected to be summoned in the national team.The young players who are likely to get a first nod to the national team include Nelson Murangwa [GSOB], Yves Mutabazi and Fred Musoni [APR].Rwanda is ranked 122nd in the world for the men category and 103 for the women.
