Who will address the problem of water scarcity in Kigali?
Editor,I’m very thankful for the steps the government is taking to bring enough energy to the country, but I don’t – up to this day – understand why nobody is talking about how water scarcity can be resolved.

Editor,I’m very thankful for the steps the government is taking to bring enough energy to the country, but I don’t – up to this day – understand why nobody is talking about how water scarcity can be resolved. Many areas of Kigali City have not had water for the last several months and it looks like no one wants to even address the issue. There are lots of diseases coming up due to poor hygiene as a result of water shortage. Who can save us? It is very pathetic. Water is the lifeline and apparently EWSA does not care. Government representatives and the media have also kept quiet about this sorry state as well.Tony Mugisha, Kigali, RwandaReaction to the story, "Govt, Indian firm sign 100MW energy deal”, (The New Times, July 6)
