Second division high fliers Muhanga Fc are demanding for more support from their sponsors, who are Muhanga district authorities.

In a recent interview with Times Sport head coach Jean Paul Kalisa said that second division side players are demanding that they get paid their recruitment fees before the quarter-finals start.

According to Kalisa, the players were supposed to receive the money fee at the start of the season but up to now they have not received a single penny from the district.

And he thinks that if the problem is not solved sooner rather than later, it could jeopardize his plans to have the team get promotion to the top division.

Muhanga lead the second division pool B with 47 points in 18 matches, including 14 wins, 2 draws and just one loss but the coach thinks that all that could end up in flames if the district authorities do not meet the players’ legitimate demands.

However, sources close to Muhanga district authorities told Times Sport that plans are underway to pay their players and the source gave today, Friday as the deadline they set themselves to finalize the payments.

Kalisa says he’s determined to take the Southern Province outfit to the first division, "At this stage, we don’t fear any team in our division,” he noted in regards to the quarter-final stage.

So far, four teams, Muhanga, Musanze, Zebra and Intare from Pool B have already qualified for the quarter-finals. While in Pool B, only National University of Rwanda and La Jeunness have made it to the last eight and they could joined by Amgaju and Stella Maris.

In quarter finals, group leaders face the fourth placed team and the second teams play teams in third place.
