Editor, I was delighted to see, on the front page of Sunday Times,  His Excellency President Paul Kagame, once again – as he always does, participating in Umuganda .It is a fact that Umuganda is a glowing example to the world. The very presence of the Head of State at these unique community service initiatives endorses the Government of Rwanda’s firm resolve to rebuild this great nation and work towards total self-reliance.Development, for any country, is an ongoing process. The community service activity carried out on the last Saturday of every month serves as a constant reminder that despite all adversity, the development and progress of the country will continue, come what may.The tremendous response to the Agaciro Development Fund or the recent Eurobond issuance success endorses the government’s firm resolve to take this great nation to great heights in the years to come. Clarence Fernandes, India
