Rwanda National Paralympic Committee are confident that the country’s two athletes Hermas Muvunyi and Theoneste Nsengimana have the potential to do well at the World Championship slated for July 22-28 in Paris, France.

He is expected to return to Rwanda next week to continue his preparations from home.His compatriot Nsengimana, who qualified for world championships last year in Paris, will compete in the 1500m. According to NPC officials, the 25-year-old embarked on his preparations on Sunday.NPC president, Celestin Nzeyimana told Times Sport, "We are confident of our Paralympians and I think they won’t disappoint us.”"The task for them is quite clear, to fight for the country’s pride and be good ambassadors while in Paris. They are both experienced athletes and both participated in last year’s London Paralympic Games and they performed fairly well,” he noted.The Rwandan delegation is expected to leave for Paris on July 20, two days before the championship kicks-off.
