The expansion of awareness and sensitisation campaigns on the regional integration process has extended to schools starting with a debate competition that was held yesterday in the eastern province.According to Flavia Salafina, Director of Information, Education, and Communication Unit in the Ministry of East African Community, the will run under the theme: "EAC integration is based more on economic benefit than social cultural and political benefit”Monique Mukaruliza the minister of EAC recently observed that the only way to sustain the integration agenda was to target the youth. "We explain fully to students and teachers what EAC is all about. Soon about 60 integration clubs will engage in a debate about the Community. The students of today will be the managers of EAC affairs tomorrow,” Mukaruliza said.
