Commodity prices are stable despite last week’s slight drop in fuel prices.A kilogramme of fresh beans costs between Rwf400 and Rwf600 in major markets across the city, while that of rice is at about Rwf800. Fish cost Rwf2,000 per kilogramme in Kimisagara Market and beef is at Rwf2,000 in Kimironko Market. Prices for millet and maize flour are unchanged from last week. A kilogramme of millet flour is at Rwf1,200 and Rwf600 for a kilo of maize flour.A tray of eggs costs Rwf2,000 across all the major markets and bananas are at between Rwf180 and Rwf190 per kilogramme in all city markets. A kilogramme of Irish potatoes costs Rwf220 and a five-litre of cooking oil is at Rwf6,000. A 600-gram bar of soap costs between Rwf700 and Rwf900. Sugar is at between Rwf750 and Rwf800 per kilogramme and ground nuts Rwf1,200.
