A consignment of seals to ensure that weighing machines and fuel dispensers are not tampered with has arrived in the country. The arrival of the seals paves way for Rwanda Bureau of Standards (RBS) to start a crackdown on weighing machines and fuel dispensers. The move comes after complaints by drivers that they at times pay more only to be given less fuel at pumping stations. Patrice Ntiyamira, the head of the Metrology Unit—RBS said they will start the crackdown on the 21st of this month. He said the seals may last up 2009.
