Africa Oyé Music Festival 2013 starts in Liverpool
Africa Oyé, the UK’s largest free festival dedicated to African music and culture is set to take place this weekend, June 22-23 of 2013 at Sefton Park in Liverpool. The festival is free and open to all.

Africa Oyé, the UK’s largest free festival dedicated to African music and culture is set to take place this weekend, June 22-23 of 2013 at Sefton Park in Liverpool. The festival is free and open to all.In addition to top African and African-diaspora acts, the festival includes The Oyé Village where you will find traders of food and drink from all over the world, arts & crafts, African clothing, hair demonstrations, face painting and much more.Performers include JAY (Cape Verde), Yaaba Funk (Ghana/UK), Atongo Zimba (Ghana), Dele Sosimi (Nigeria/UK) and Mokoomba (Zimbabwe) among others. Unfortunately, no artiste from East Africa will be performing at the prestigious music festival.
