When you talk about phones on the market, Samsung Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5 are the phones that ring in anyone’s mind. Well, there maybe others but these are the two big fish in the sea. There are many things on these two phones that I can compare, but today I will focus on the camera though each phone has something it beats the other at. In a recent test by DxO Labs, a French firm that specialises in camera optics and image sensor analysis, the Samsung Galaxy S4 scored 75 points, beating out the iPhone 5, which scored just 72.However, interestingly, neither of the top two smartphones on the market has the best camera currently available, and that accolade goes to the Nokia 808 Pureview, which scored an impressive 77. Mubiru Frank owns an S4 and says its camera is superb and quite fast at pictures. "I’ve used both the iPhone 5 and S4 but the one thing it beats the iPhone at is when you are taking pictures, the S4 has an option of taking a picture using both cameras. The person taking the picture and the people posing for the picture can all be in the picture despite them being at the back and front sides of the phone,” he says. Mubiru adds that the S4 also attaches sound to pictures which the iPhone cannot do. Much as the S4 takes the trophy here, the iPhone 5 had better video stabilisation and takes better pictures in dim light. All in allThe Galaxy S4 has impressive detail preservation in bright light conditions. The 13-megapixel sensor shows a significant improvement compared to the best 8-megapixel smartphone cameras.iPhone 5 is great with pictures in dim light, quick at instant pictures and better at colouring of the video and pictures when displayed on another device.
