APR bounced back from a disappointing show against Inyemera to beat top title contenders Musanze 2-0 in the national women soccer league.

Goals from Claire Umulisa and Hyacinthe Uwigeneye were enough to kill off Musanze’s hopes for a late comeback.

The win took the debutants to 37 points, stretching their lead at the top of the table to 11 points.

After the win, APR coach Kiiza Ramadthan lauded his team saying, "We expected a stiff challenge from Musanze but we managed to overcome it”.
