RwandAir officially launched commercial flights to Accra, Ghana at gala at La-Palm Royale Beach Hotel in Accra on Saturday. The dinner, which was graced by dignitaries from Rwanda and Ghana, was spiced up by local dancers. There were a lot of drinks and food than diners could handle. After everybody had had their fill, it was time to hit the dancing floor and ‘get jiggy wid it’. Speaking at the gala, Joyce Bawa Mogtari, Ghana’s deputy transport minister, said the RwandAir flight will boost trade and open up investment opportunities for business people in the two countries. "This is a good move that will ease access to Rwanda... There is no reason why investors from our two countries should not use the flight to tap into the opportunities it presents,” Mogtari noted. The airline jets into Accra five times a week.Meanwhile, farmers, agro-inputs dealers, small-and-large scale agriculture produce processors, sector bodies, including the Rwanda Agricultural Board, the National Agricultural Exports Board, the Private Sector Federation and service providers have been showcasing the new agricultural technologies such as simple irrigation equipment and crop breeding at the week-long 8th Annual Kigali National Agriculture show at Murindi. The show that started on Thursday ends today.
