This year’s Tour du Rwanda cycling event will cost an estimated Frw11 millions, officials in the local cycling governing body, Ferwacy have confirmed.

The most prestigious cycling competition on the local scene which will cover 652km is scheduled for August 15-24, starting from Kigali on August 15 going to different parts of the country and finish in Kigali on August 24.

"This time round, we intend to give out bigger prizes than it has been in the past, which we think we’ll help us in attracting more participants,” Ferwacy permanent secretary Emmanuel Murenzi said.
