The U19 national team won their first friendly game against ES Volleyball U15 of Kartal Koy Hizmetleri academy in four sets on Thursday night.The U 19 National team won the match 25-15, 25-5, 25-16, and 25-17 as they continue preparations for  the upcoming Youth World Championships due to be played from 27 June to 7 July in Mexico.Teams played four sets instead of the normal three sets as a way of building up their physical endurance. Rwanda will play two more friendly matches in Turkey next week before proceeding to Mexico on 25 June, two days before the Youth World Championships kicks off."We have played with a young team so we need to look for other big teams so that we can prepare well for the world championships,” head coach Jean Marie Nsengiyumva told Saturday Sport from Turkey.The World Championships will be staged in two cities of Tijuana and Mexicali.  Egypt, Rwanda, Tunisia and Algeria will represent Africa in the men’s category.Rwanda will play against France, Russia, Iran and Finland in Pool C at the High Performance Centre in Tijuana.In Pool A, Mexico, China, Belgium, Tunisia and Poland at the High Performance Centre in Tijuana, while Argentina Japan, Chile, Turkey and Cuba will compete in Pool B at the State Auditorium in Mexicali.Pool D matches will be played in Mexicali with top-seeded Brazil and United States being joined by Egypt, South Korea and Algeria.
