RWANDA’s National University (NUR) is among the continental universities participating in the 5th Africa University Games, which got underway over the weekend in Kampala, Uganda.

NUR is fielding participants in athletics, volleyball and karate in the continental inter-universities Games, which will run until July 16.

According to the director of sports at NUR Albert Kayiranga who talked to Times Sport yesterday from Kampala, the Rwandan contingent consists of 25 athletes and five officials.

NUR volleyball team will be the first in action tomorrow at Makerere University courts and will be followed by athletics and karate who will start their respective preliminary stage battles on July 12.
